My Improvement this 2010:meme:

Ohmygod, I'm going to get all deep and emotional, but that's who I am. I'm super emotional, and when I care about something, I CARE. (note: Rue's Lullaby and now Rolling Girl is playing in the background)

This year, I changed.

I really did.

I have so many people to thank. Let's start with my watchers. Where would I be without you? You like my art

second, My friends. You know, the people who are willing to play the Campfire Song full blast so that the whole bus can hear.
And they're my soon to be moviemakers with me. Yup. I'm looking at you Shadow and sheba. and izzy. and woodrow. and nighteh. and everyone.

Third, I CANNOT STOP THANKING THIS GUY.


He's the guy who got me where I am today. Not the girl you see in the march box who doodles on her papers. Not the girl who happens to not even think about anatomy.

No, she's far gone. Because of that one critique that turned into multiple critiques. That crappy "Haru" drawing you see in the July box that looks like a mutant freak? Yeah. He was the first to come right out and say it (well, he said it nicer, but you get the point).
It took a day or so for me to get used to the idea of criticism-but didn't it take that long for 90% of us? I mean seriously, it takes time to get used to the feeling of being critiqued. I don't think I've really read COMPLETELY through even one of his critiques. for me, I hate to say it, it's a little crazy that I'm a perfectionistic person and can even take it.

But now, look at my drawings. They are still crap, but bearable crap. Stuff that you can look at and not gag.


And finally, to myself. For surviving a year of embarrassment, love, crap. Crap. And more crap.

But mostly, I was able to let my imagination run wild for once.
Not constrain it in a box like how my parents want it.

I've finally been able to just let my imagination and my thoughts run wild whenever. And now, on my new ipod touch, I write tons of notes with ideas.
